Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026Effective date: June 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Silver Ridge Group LLC, doing business as NestEdge (“NestEdge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the NestEdge website and services (the “Service”). Because NestEdge is a financial- planning tool, we treat the information you provide as sensitive and handle it accordingly. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Service. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we do not control, or to information you provide directly to third parties (such as a financial professional you choose to share a plan with).

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — name, email address, and authentication details, collected through our identity provider, Clerk (which may include sign-in via Google OAuth or email/password).
  • Financial-planning inputs — the information you enter to build a plan, such as age, retirement timeline, income, savings and account balances, asset allocations, real-estate and other holdings, expenses, Social Security assumptions, and tax-related details. This is the core of what the Service processes for you.
  • Payment information — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as subscription status and the last four digits and card brand); we do not collect or store your full card number.
  • Communications — information you provide when you contact us, submit feedback, or respond to emails.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps.
  • Log and diagnostic data — technical logs and error reports (including via our error-monitoring provider) used to keep the Service secure and reliable.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used for authentication, session management, security, and basic analytics. See Section 11.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service and generate your plans;
  • create, authenticate, and manage your account;
  • process subscriptions, payments, renewals, and related billing;
  • send transactional and service-related messages (such as plan-share invitations, trial and billing notices, and security alerts);
  • respond to your inquiries and provide support;
  • monitor, debug, and improve the Service, including improving our projection and optimization models using de-identified or aggregated data;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We may send marketing emails about NestEdge features; you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Opting out does not stop transactional messages necessary to operate your account.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers — with vendors who process information on our behalf to run the Service (see Section 6), under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • At your direction — when you choose to share a plan with another person (for example, a financial planner or collaborator), we share the information you authorize for that purpose, subject to the permission level you select.
  • Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a governmental request; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NestEdge, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
  • With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your financial-planning inputs to serve you third-party targeted advertising.

6. Service Providers

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service. Key providers include:

  • Clerk — account authentication and identity management.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional and invitation emails.
  • Cloud hosting & database providers — to host the application and securely store data.
  • Error-monitoring and analytics providers — to detect errors and keep the Service reliable.

Each provider processes information under its own privacy and security commitments and only as needed to provide services to us.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and scoped data access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted by law.

9. Your Choices & Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • access and update most account and plan information directly within the Service;
  • delete plans, or request deletion of your account and associated data;
  • opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link; and
  • contact us at hello@nestedge.finance to exercise any privacy right.

We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
  • Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information—though, as stated in Section 5, we do not sell or share your personal information;
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Service; and
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Categories we collect

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name and email); customer records and financial information you enter for planning; commercial information (such as subscription and transaction history); internet or network activity (such as usage and device data); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; and inferences drawn to provide planning outputs. We treat certain financial-planning inputs as sensitive personal information and use them only to provide and improve the Service for you.

How to exercise your rights

Submit a request by emailing hello@nestedge.finance. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. California’s “Shine the Light” law: because we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes, no such disclosure applies.

11. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to function (such as authentication and session security) and a limited set used to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
