✨ Easier to find your heirs' tax rate

  • Moved into its own highlighted Legacy assumptions section in the Portfolio step, and now shown alongside your Estate / legacy goal — it's the setting that determines how much of a Traditional IRA your heirs keep, and whether the Optimizer favors Roth conversions.

🔧 Improvements

  • Standardized several pages (Firms, Client Plans, Changelog admin, Feedback admin) to use the full browser width, matching the rest of the app.
  • The account activity history in the admin panel now paginates for accounts with a long history, instead of loading every event at once.

🐛 Fixed Monte Carlo and Historical Backtest for portfolios weighted toward retirement accounts

  • If most of your savings were in a Traditional IRA, 401(k), or Roth IRA rather than a regular brokerage account, Monte Carlo simulations and historical backtests weren't applying market ups and downs to those balances — every simulated outcome came out nearly identical, understating both the risk and the range of possible results. Retirement account balances now experience realistic year-to-year market swings just like brokerage accounts, so the probability fan and backtest results reflect real portfolio risk.

🐛 Fixed a critical gap in the Life Insurance Needs calculator

  • The insurance-gap calculator could report $0 additional coverage needed for households where the survivor's savings would actually run out years into retirement — the check was looking for a signal that could never trigger. It's now based on whether the survivor's plan runs out of money, and the recommended coverage amount is solved precisely rather than approximated.

🔧 Improvements

  • Fixed several plan-editing screens (including Allocation over time) where a change could be silently lost if you navigated away right after making it — edits are now reliably saved.
  • Fixed a display bug where percentage fields (e.g. inflation rate) sometimes showed long floating-point values like "3.5000000000000004" instead of what you typed.
  • Renamed "Stocks & ETFs"/"Bonds" to "Brokerage Stocks"/"Brokerage Bonds" throughout charts and tables, to make clear these are your taxable account's holdings, not a separate account type.
  • Renamed the "Financial Planner" header link to "Financial Plans" for clarity.
  • Ask AI now retries silently through occasional errors instead of showing "Sorry, I encountered an error" on the first hiccup.
  • Fixed a crash on older saved plans that were missing a newer field.

🎉 New: Big-expense look-ahead setting

  • Fixed a bug where cash could balloon to 3-4x your Cash Cushion target for decades instead of getting invested — a look-ahead safety reserve was adding years of ordinary spending to the threshold every year, not just before genuine big expenses.
  • The look-ahead reserve is now a real, adjustable setting ("Big-expense look-ahead") in the Portfolio step, instead of an invisible default.

🎉 New: Cash Sweep visibility

  • New "Cash Sweep" chart tab shows, year by year, exactly when surplus cash gets invested and where it goes — split between stocks and bonds.
  • The Portfolio Flow chart now shows your cash sweep as two separate flows — "Cash Sweep (Brokerage Stocks)" and "Cash Sweep (Brokerage Bonds)" — instead of one combined line, so you can see the actual stock/bond split.
  • Ask AI can now explain how each account is taxed when it's drawn down, including why selling bonds doesn't trigger capital gains, and how to read the Cash Buffer lines on the Portfolio Flow chart.

🎉 New: Roth Conversion Schedule

  • See exactly how much converts each year, when conversions stop, and why — right on your dashboard.
  • Hover any year on the chart for a plain-English explanation of that year's conversion amount.
  • Ask AI now describes your actual Roth conversion schedule accurately, whether you're viewing your base plan or the Optimized one.

🎉 New: Firm Branding

  • Firms can now upload their own logo, shown in the app header and footer for their clients.
  • The firm's logo also appears on client PDF reports and in invite emails.

🔧 Improvements

  • Fixed PDF reports occasionally showing "$NaN" for plans with an older saved optimizer result.
  • Net Worth chart now appears above the Cash on Hand chart on your dashboard.
  • Cleaner, more specific error messages when something goes wrong signing in or during account actions.
